Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter of HIMSS

Welcome to the Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter of HIMSS

Message from the Chapter President:

Happy New Year!

It is quite a surprise how quickly 2020 has come upon us. We have a very busy spring ahead with some big events for the Chapter of which I want to make you aware.

In March, at the 2020 Annual Global Health Conference & Exhibition, the chapter will once again be partnering with the Indiana Chapter to host a luncheon. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 11th from 11AM-1PM at the Rosen Centre. Registration is open – you can register on the Chapter website. The event is capped at 60 attendees and we have filled up the last two years, so don’t wait to sign up!

On the heels of the Global event and its extensive offering, we will be starting the election process for our 2020-2021 Board Year. We will be looking for qualified candidates to fill several board positions. Openings are being finalized now so look for more information in the next month for the various roles along with the timeline for the entire process.

Before we know it, our 3rd Annual Spring Conference will be upon us again. Co-hosting with Indiana HIMSS this year, the conference will be held at Belterra Resort and Casino in Florence, IN. Held April 15th-16th, we have a great slate of presentations planned along with a CPHIMS prep course to maximize the education and networking potential for every attendee. Registration is now open, and we hope you will be able to join us.

As a volunteer organization, to be able to hold our events and expand our offerings, it takes people willing to share their time and talents. I am very grateful for our current board members and our additional volunteers who have been willing to donate their time to the Chapter. To help the Chapter to continue to run smoothly and minimize the amount of work on any one person, we are looking for additional hands to help. Whether it is a single hour for one event as a greeter/registration desk attendant or participating as a regular committee member on one of our four major committees, we can use your help.

How can you help you ask?
